Event Name: KitchenAid, Product Launch
Number of Guests: 220 guests
KitchenAid state their 100 year success is due to “quality
craftsmanship, versatile technology and timeless style”, a theory that
strongly relates to what we do here at Red Scooter, so the combination
for their annual ‘Retailer Night of Nights’ function was a perfect
match. It was an intricate and complicated function, timed to a tee,
and top quality an essential. A combination of demonstrations, food
sampling, AV, entertainment and product launch, this function was a
stand out. Our head chef Joel Reilly worked closely with Jo Richardson
from KitchenAid, to develop a menu that Jo could demonstrate on stage,
whilst being prepared for the guests in our kitchen. The guests were
lucky enough to be entertained by surprise guests, series one
Masterchef contestants Chris and Julia, who whipped up a dish using
KitchenAid appliances, and proved Red Scooter to be one of Melbournes truly amazing function rooms..

Event Name: Village Roadshow, Christmas Celebration, 17th December 2010
Number of Guests: 250 guests
As a bartender, you are used to serving all sorts of clowns, but rarely is the clown behind the bar – which is exactly what happened when Village Roadshow took over Red Scooter. The Function Room was transformed; the result resembling a combination of the Mad Hatter’s tea party and an enormous Big Top. Our staff got painted by the resident make-up artist to blend into the theme of the evening – Circus, as the extremely talented performers from NICA stood on their hands while guests maneuvered around them. The ring mistress kept the party in line playing the part of MC, whilst our resident clowns served themed canapés to the excited attendees. This event was a brilliant example of how diverse and elaborate Red Scooter can be as a leading Melbourne function room, and that we have fun while doing it!

Event Name: Toni & Guy products by Wella Australia, 28th March 2011
Number of Guests: 165 guests
Red Scooter was approached by Sydney based company Events with Moore. Their client Toni and Guy were holding a National Roadshow to promote the launch of a new range of Wella products in Australia. It was to be an interactive presentation, with state of the art audio visual, music, models and makeovers. We ensured that bump in ran smoothly as the technical side of this event required the expertise of our well trained and knowledgeable operations team. The setting was Paris catwalk, the paparazzi were snapping and the bubbles were flowing. Result? 100% perfect.

Event Name: Darren & Freya Hall, Wedding Reception, 2nd October 2010

Tying in with their ceremony at the Botanical Gardens, Freya & Darren decided to bring the outside in! Working with florist, Style by Nature, the couple created magnificent floral arrangements for the centre of each table. The result, when placed on Red Scooters mirrored bases, was truly breathtaking. The opulent surrounds of the Madisson Room worked perfectly as a backdrop, resulting in the striking contrast the couple had been hoping to achieve for their wedding. Guests enjoyed canapés before further taking in the stunning setting as they enjoyed a lavish 3 course meal. 4 piece band, The Baker Boys, further added to the atmosphere of evening, with a repertoire that ensured guests were on the dance floor until the very last song!
Event Name: Tyson Kosmina, Themed 60th Birthday Celebration

It’s a rare occurrence to see Indiana Jones, Lara Croft, Cat woman, Dr Evil, and Cruella DeVille in one room. It is either a scene out of the greatest movie of all time, or just another night at Melbourne function venue Red Scooter. They say that 30 is the new 20, and any colour is the new black, but 60th birthday parties are most certainly the new 21st’s! Our venue transformed into one of Indiana Jones’ adventures, complete with jungle theme and skull centerpieces, for this amazing night that is most certainly going to be remembered.
"Thank you for holding and organizing my 60th Birthday Party. I think it was a big success. The evening went very well, the decorations/theming of the room, the actors and service were all excellent. The photo displays, speeches and the” magic" trick also went off very well. All the reports I have received from my friends have been very positive and everyone had a great time. Both of you were always most helpful whenever I or my sons needed assistance."
