Event Name: Metricon Awards Night
Number of Guests: 250
|Joined in his second verse by a waiter and then later on an executive chef, it was surprises a plenty! These cleverly disguised staff members are part of the Three Waiters group who kept our crowd on their toes throughout the evening. Metricon Managing Director took to the stage to present the awards to the lucky 46 recipients, before introducing their guest speaker Chris Helder, the “Master of Communication”. After the premiere of the new ad campaigns were presented, Chris delivered an inspiring presentation tied in perfectly to the message Metricon was delivering.
Roving dessert was served whilst Metricon staff posed in the photo booth and hit the dance floor to the tunes supplied by DJ YAK. With the majority of the sales staff having the next day off, it was a chance to let their hair down, celebrate successes with colleagues and have a drink on the boss!

Nufarm End of Financial Year Party

“Nufarm has been based in Australia for more than 50 years and has worked alongside Australians to provide a wide range of top quality crop protection products.” With a company tag line like that, the Nufarm team were destined to choose Red Scooter for their End of Financial Year party! As one of the most experienced and dedicated Event venues in Melbourne, we have a few beliefs ourselves: to provide the best service possible, a restaurant quality food and beverage offering and to ensure every guest that leaves our venue saying “that was the best event I have EVER been too”. Nufarm had the whole shebang – a 1920s style event with all the toppings. Costumed paparazzi welcomed our guests along their Red Carpet, before entering our space to the tunes of “Stand and Deliver”, Australia’s greatest (albeit off themed) 80’s tribute band! A divine alternate service entrée wet appetites with fresh ceviche of prawns and feta and pine nut and spinach ravioli. DJ Moby Disc took over during main course, a delectable split of eye fillet and crispy garlic and lemon crusted roast chicken. Between sets of rocking 80’s music; spot prizes were drawn, best dressed was awarded and the best of the best 80’s dancing and 20’s twisting took place on dance floor. We offered desserts as a roving service with a great result – all that dancing required a sugar hit!

Reading Entertainment's Awards Night

The brief was simple, something opulent and plush with feathers. The dining configuration was settled. A long X dining table to seat 60 guests spanning the entire floor space of the Madission Room. The linen was to be black sequins top cloths, flat black underlay’s, and napkins accompanied by large oversized red and black ostrich feather arrangements, beads and sequins for a fabulous night at the Moulin Rouge - hips, lips tips and feathers!!! Then came the call. The theme has been changed, the client now wants a Tron (as in the film) table look and feel. The plan was to design a table look around a translucent glowing “shapescape” of lustrous form on a mirror tile grid base, using a configuration of multi sized translucent acrylic rings placed on different heights and angles, so when hit by the light would created a radiant glow, complemented by glow sticks and several laser cutting shards of light and colour throughout the room. The result was a dynamic thematic that was visually “Tron-tastic” on a grand glowing scale.

Event Name: Metricon's Rio Themed EOFY Celebration
Number of Guests: 150 guests
With the assistance of our in house event stylist, Red Scooter was transformed into the world of Rio's famous Carnival. Guests were presented with colourful beads on arrival to signal the start of what would become a night of Latin themed fun! After a 3 course dinner, guests were treated to a suprise reveal into the Dakota Room where Royal Casino tables flanked by croupiers, were ready to continue the celebrations. The event was capped off with Batucada drummers and dancers treating the guests to a vibrant show in the middle of the crowd and even managing to convince a few of them to join in!
