Event Name: Neil Tilley's 50th Birthday Celebration, 7th August 2010
Number of Guests: 125

Melbourne Function VenuesWhen Neil Tilley decided to throw a party to mark his 50th Birthday, he made sure it would be a night guests would never forget!  The tone was set right from the start of the evening with guests arriving by bus, before posing for photos along the glamorously lit , Madisson Room red carpet. Upstairs, guests mingled over drinks & canapés before the first of the nights surprises were unveiled. Not one to do things by halves, Neil had arranged the 14 piece big band (Let’s Dance) to be revealed to the crowd as they began their first tune. The spectacle continued when the energetic dance troupe, Swing Patrol, took to the floor to entertain the guests first by themselves & then with the band. Guests were further delighted to see Rory (The nights MC & close friend of the birthday boy) join the big band for their last set. If all this wasn’t enough, the guests danced the night away to the nights second musical act, rock band ‘Single Income’.

“Just a brief note of thanks for looking after us so well last Saturday night, everyone in the band was very pleased with the way everything ran so smoothly. As you can imagine we have played at many venues over the years of varied layout and competence in management but your venue and your good-self are a standout! You were so very well organised it was an absolute pleasure to play at the Red Scooter and I will be recommending your venue at any opportunity. I just hope we can be booked to play there again sometime, it was so good.

On behalf of the LET'S DANCE BIG BAND"

Event Name: Rachel Miller's 40th Birthday 70’s Disco, 23rd August 2008

Number of Guests: 100

Cocktail Party Venues MelbourneGuests boogied on down to Red Scooter for a 70’s Disco party to celebrate Rachel’s 40th birthday.  Arriving on the red carpet, 70s style, once inside guests stepped back to Studio 54.  We dared to go back to that wild era where mirror balls, Go-go boots, Abba and afros were everywhere to be seen.  To set the scene of that 70’s iconic club - Studio 54, we illuminated our dance floor, and had lots of multicolored lights, mirror balls and sequined linen.  No guest could resist a bit of bootie shaking.  The party was everything from fun and outrageous to tacky and hilariously tragic.  And what's a 70’s party without Abba – an Abba tribute feature performance by the guest on honour was a highlight of the night.

“To all at Red Scooter.  On behalf of Wayne & myself we would like to express our sincere thanks for a night that we will never forget. It all started when Wayne & I first met Eammon who gave us a tour of Red Scooter, my instant thought was "this is the place" from there the experience began. The professionalism showed and the "can do" attitude really blew us away.  We were incredibly impressed, but could they really pull it off?  The night finally came and from the moment I stepped out of the car and took to the red carpet my night began. I had to take some time to absorb how fabulous the room looked before anyone
arrived.  It was truly amazing!!  As I found out on the night there were things I didn't even know about.  To Sophie, Jacob, Ari, Julia, Jess, Sarah, Angela, Tamar and Graeme, you were amazing, so attentive and I must say looked after me incredibly, you had fun which really made me happy. My guests commented on how fantastic you all were. SO A HUGE THANK YOU TO YOU ALL!!!  To Eammon you must be incredibly
proud of your staff!  Thank you for being so accommodating and incredibly easy to deal with!”

“To Kylie thank you too for all your effort in making this night such a success. Oh, and your suggestion to
go with the mini ice creams went down a treat! Thank you Red Scooter for what was one of the most
memorable occasions of my life. You sure did pull it off!  Best wishes to all. We shall return!”

Number of Guests: 75

Themed Function Rooms MelbourneThis 60th celebration for Robert Abrahams was all about fun.  And to set the scene, guests were to come as their favorite Superhero or Villain.  Guests arrived on the Red Carpet to be met by Dr Evil, Lara Croft and Catwoman.   The tables were set Indiana Jones style covered with gold underlays, black organza overlays and striking table candelabras complete with ivy and crossbones.  The food and wine flowed continuously throughout the evening and worked well with key feature performances which included a magic show, cage dancers and a five piece band.  A night everyone will remember!

“Dear Eammon and Kylie.  Thank you for holding and organising my 60th Birthday Party.
It was a big success!   The evening went very well, the decorations / theming of the room,
the actors and service was all excellent.  The photo displays, speeches and the” magic" trick also went off very well.  All the reports I have received from my friends have been very positive and everyone had a great time.  Both of you were always most helpful whenever I or my sons needed assistance.”
