Event Name: Georgina and Jamie Carpenter Wedding Ceremony and Reception
, 6th August 2011
Number of Guests: 120
In one of the coldest August months in history, Georgina and Jamie made the right call on hosting their wedding ceremony inside; but by no means compromised on style. With our ceremony room set up beautifully, the simple but elegant backdrop of silk curtains and chic painting was just enough to emphasise the gorgeous bride. With the formalities over, the wedding party made their way upstairs, to the modern Parisian styled Dakota room. Guests mingled whilst hand held dinner was served, to the smooth tunes of Garry East Wood. Guests were treated to our Candy Spot station, as an alternative or additive to the gorgeous Ab Fab Cake!

"Jamie and I would like to say a very big thank you to you and the rest of the team at Red Scooter. We had a fantastic night, everything was perfect! We really appreciate all of the hard work that went into organising the wedding ceremony and reception it is a credit to you."

Number of Guests: 110
It was a surprising day for guests at Darren and Laurren’s wedding. Guests were amazed to find half way through the ceremony that the couple had already secretly wed in the Cook Islands! Once guests had recovered from this humorous shock they were guided up stairs to the Madison room were the reception was held. They danced the night away to the beat of DJ Colin, while the kids utilized the mezzanine level for their own entertainment.

John and Leny’s intimate Wedding welcomed guests into our stunning Ceremony Space. Candelabra’s and crisp white roses were the only things required to provide the perfect back drop for this perfect couple. Entering the Dakota Room, guests were greeted by our team that provided them with beverages and food chosen by the couple. John and Leny chose a unique banquet style setting in the X configuration with Red Scooter’s stunning signature look 2, customized with a magnificent tea light centerpiece. Guests enjoyed Red Scooter’s entree, main and dessert asiette plates, offering a premier variety of indulgent flavors of three items served on the one plate for each course…. Outstanding.

"Many thanks to you Eammon and staff for an incredible night. From the minute we arrived to the very end you and the girls performed faultlessly. A number of guests stated to me it was the best wedding they had attended. The ceremony room and function rooms looked superb, the food was fantastic and the service from the staff was great. The associates you recommended were of equally high standard, Wally the celebrant had the mix just right, Steve and the band had all the guests up and involved and Nigels photos are great. I am sure we will see you at further functions at Red Scotter as Leny and I are recommending you to our friends. Once again Eammon many thanks, it could not have been a better night'.

Event Name: Stephen and Corinne Barlow's Wedding Reception, 24th April 2010
Number of Guests: 200
Stephen & Corinne came to Red Scooter because they wanted a wedding reception with a difference. Steering away from the traditional, we worked with the couple to create an event filled with unique style & a definite sense of fun! Guests were given a taste of the night ahead when posing for photos along the glamorously lit, marquee covered red carpet prior to entering the venue. With bridesmaids dressed in bright red & a bride adorned in black and white, Red Scooter provided the perfect backdrop for the evening. Working with Tappanappa events we created a striking ‘love’ themed bridal lounge complete with a giant pair of love hearts made completely out of hundreds of red roses & a huge pair of bright red lips that proved to be both a talking point of the night & a very comfortable place to sit! Guests enjoyed an array of delicious canapés, before taking to the dance floor to enjoy the music of swing band, Shamdoogie.
"You all made the night absolutely perfect. Thank you! and I hope you like the photos i sent you, the venue looks amazing in them. Special thanks to Kylie, her attention to detail in sharing my vision was excellent and dont forget to thank Eammon for making my dad happy….”

Event Name: Carina and Anthony Parisella’s Wedding Reception, 20th September 2009
Number of Guests: 140
From the moment Carina and Anthony walked into Red Scooter, they fell in love with it. Red Scooter was the perfect match for them to celebrate their marriage and let their hair down amongst 140 of their closest friends and family. Anthony said he would marry Carina anywhere as long as they had each other and had all their friends and family there to witness it, but Carina wanted a venue to surpass all of their expectations and be talked about for years to come - that is exactly what Red Scooter created for them! Guests arrived from Holy Trinity Anglican Church where Carina and Anthony exchanged vowels in a beautiful, traditional church. They were met by staff on the red carpet and treated throughout the evening to beautiful food and wine and great entertainment to celebrate and set the mood of the night.
“We had the best night of our lives – so much fun! All the best and thanks again….”

Event Name: Peter & Rosie Welsh Wedding Reception, 17th October 2009
Number of Guests: 180
For this wedding reception, our “unique reception venue" was put to very good use. Peter and Rosie wed in incredible style and individuality, with a bridal party dressed to impress. Rosie walked down the aisle to background music played by band Serenade, with the pregnant bride truly glowing in her white dress; whilst Peter eagerly awaited her arrival in matching 3 piece suit! They wed, they danced, ate, drank and left, and no doubt found the most compatible wedding venue in Melbourne to host their fantastic nuptials.

"After my daughter’s wedding reception I should just like to congratulate you for the superb level of you customer service. However you train your staff you should bottle the ingredients and sell it because the unobtrusive service we received was truly of the highest quality. All people in the service industry do get irritated by their customers but if your staff did on the day of my daughter’s wedding reception, they hid it very well! They were superb! If I were not a Scot living a long way away, I would recommend your venue without reservation to anyone in Melbourne who wanted to listen! The best I can say is it was worth the money! Excellent business run in just the right way to get the best from your staff and the best for you customers".

Event Name: John and Debra Pearce Wedding Reception, 20th December 2009
Number of Guests: 60
John and Debra Pearce wanted an intimate, memorable wedding with their closest friends and family. Guests arrived on the red carpet and were greeted with shimmering crystal votives which lined the glamorous staircase up to the Dakota Room. Towering Bird cage candelabras framed the Altar and signing table which was a beautiful marble antique. Once the ceremony concluded, guests were met by staff with a delightful selection of canapés and wines. The Madisson room drapes were drawn back upon conclusion of pre dinner drinks, to reveal a dramatic dinner setting. This unique set up of an “X” style table was designed so that the bride and groom could change their seating position throughout the evening and move to each end of the “X” at each course. The main feature of this striking table set up was the five large hanging bird cages at different heights which created a chandelier effect. The table was dressed in dramatic black self striped linen and was accompanied with greenery and 100’s of tea light votives. The dinner menu was specially created by Red Scooter’s Head Chef and was a dinner menu that the bride and groom always dreamed of having -a fine dining asiette style menu consisting of a range of delicate dishes which suited all guest’s tastes. It was a Wedding to remember!
'Hi Kylie, Thanks so very much to you and the entire team at Red Scooter. You turned my wedding into the dream I hoped it would be. Amazing to say the least. Luv and best wishes for the New Year. I hope I am able to contribute in some way to your future success.'

Event Name: Mary and Sebastian’s Wedding Reception
Number of guests: 220
From the moment Mary and Sebastian walked through the Dakota entrance, they new that Red Scooter was the perfect venue. Both coming from from large Greek families, they wanted a wedding that was able to uphold their family traditions, but also have a modern touch.
Guests entered the venue at the Dakota entrance, and were greeted by Red Scooter staff. They were lead into the Dakota Room for pre-dinner canapés and drinks and rather than being seated for entrée; they had a choice of three different styles of food stations. From Italian, to American there was a flavour to suit every guest’s taste buds. Mary and Sebastian’s family and friends danced the night away to a mixture of traditional music and party favorite classics!
